Disaster Relief Distribution Log – Monday 26th May

Summary:

Today was a monumental day of disaster relief coordination, led by the Foster Donation and Distribution Hub, reaching deep into some of our region’s most affected and remote communities. With the help of over 40 dedicated volunteers, we managed, sorted, loaded, and delivered a massive range of essential items to six key locations. Together, these efforts have directly supported over 5,000 people within regional and remote communities who have been doing it tough in the wake of recent events.

Essential items distributed today across all locations included:

Butane cookers and gas, toasters, kettles, air fryers, eskies, electrical goods, storage containers, gloves, and gumboots—in addition to food, water, clothing, bedding, baby items, furniture, toiletries, sanitary products, cleaning supplies, and more.

Distribution Hubs & Deliveries:

1. Taree Distribution Hub – Lions Club Centre, Mills Close:

Bedding, clothing for all sizes, food, non perishables, sanitary products, cleaning supplies, toiletries, first aid kits, and household essentials.

2. Wingham Distribution Hub – Baptist Church:

Two large orders including food, cooking appliances, clothing, sanitary, cleaning, first aid kits, butane cooking goods, white goods, and more.

3. Cundletown Distribution Hub – Uniting Church:

Two major trips delivering white goods, baby furniture, adult toileting needs (blueys, adult diapers), gumboots, and practical recovery items.

4. Croki Emergency Delivery:

Roads opened today. The community had received no services prior. Delivered large volumes of water, food, white goods, butane cookers/gas, power cables, pots and pans, sanitary items, laundry/cleaning supplies, gumboots, and more. Nearly 50 people greeted the team—emotional, grateful, relieved. A local MP was present, inquiring about support needs.

5. Coopernook Region:

A major drop coordinated via Marnie, a local legend ensuring supplies reach smaller surrounding areas.

Residents in the Coopernook region: please contact us to be connected with Marnie.

Today showed the power of people. The Foster Donation and Distribution Hub is simply a vehicle—but it’s powered by a community of givers, doers, and believers. With every delivery, every handshake, every tear shed and every smile shared—we’re not just distributing supplies. We’re bringing hope.
